Aamir Akbar is currently working on developing energy efficient Mobile-Cloud (MC) hybrid applications. His research is on using software module clustering techniques and applying Evolutionary Algorithms to find optimum configurations of MC hybrid applications in terms of bandwidth usage and battery power consumption.

He is currently pursuing a Ph.D degree and is a member of ALICE research group at Aston University, UK.
